Responsibilities You will conduct independent and objective evaluations of financial management and accounting operations and their underlying risks and internal controls for the purpose of predicting the effects of proposed requirements and policies. You will perform the administrative and resource management functions relative to the staff supervised. You will establish guidelines and performance expectations for staff members, which are clearly communicated through the formal employee performance management system. You will independently identify and resolve highly complex problems not susceptible to treatment by accepted methods. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to GS-13 grade level or NH-03 pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: providing oversight for complex analyses and evaluations related to all aspects of accounting. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of analysis/reporting requirements, work processes, accounting systems structure and data produced to resolve significant accounting and management problems. Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills and can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. Education Additional Information This position is covered by the Department of Defense Priority Placement Program. Several vacancies may be filled. The pay schedule and pay band for all Administrative Specialist/Professional Positions will be NH-1/2/3/4. This position is telework eligible as determined by the agency policy. Certain incentives (such as Recruitment, Relocation or Student Loan Repayment) may be authorized to eligible selectees. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if the selectee fails to meet the pre-employment requirements, including failure to report to any of the scheduled appointments.
