BAE Systems Ordnance Systems, Inc., located at the Radford Army Ammunition Plant in Radford Virginia, is looking to hire a Security and Emergency Management Specialist. This role provides support to the Government Owned Contractor Operated (GOCO) operation and will work under the direction of the Security Manager to support Security and Fire/Emergency Services. Responsibilities
Support the development and maintenance of Emergency Management Policy, Program, Plans and Procedures documentation, which is simple, iterative, cascading, and allows for minimal transition to establishing performance metrics, evaluation plans, and understandable reporting of program and EM and AT metrics.
Maintain a foundational level EM Program process based on DoD guidance and government and industry best practices.
Assist and support the Security Manager in planning for emergencies and disasters.
Assist the Security Manager with emergency management response efforts with government agencies, private organizations, and stakeholders.
Conduct risk assessments to identify potential emergency situations.
Training staff on emergency response procedures
Safeguarding unclassified/sensitive material activities, such as, access control, identication of sensitive material, assigning Document Control Numbers (DCNs) and Electronic File Transfers (EFTs), proper handling of sensitive material, proper document marking IAW marking guides
Brieng employees on security guidelines, investigating and reporting security incidents.
Ensuring compliance with Government and Company security standards, procedures, and directives
Acquires, reviews, and processes to completion - Initial Clearances, 7708 and T1 background
investigations, 3-year clearance and reinvestigations, reinstatements, and clearance
upgrades
Processes OSI/Radford New Hire's and Terminations in SIMS/DISS/NISS/SWIFT/PSIP
Processes Foreign Visitor Requests and reporting as per Special Program
Requirements
- Assist the Security Manager with the development of security plans to comply with
existing directives contracts and future requirements
Verify the citizenship of all newly hired employees.
Process and maintains accountability of all OSI/Holston employees ATF license and
renewals every 3-years
Conduct internal threat investigations into possible insider threat violators.
Submits and tracks all purchase requests for both the Security and Fire Departments
Equipment
Tracks all service orders within the security and fire sections.
Reviews documents for potential OPSEC and security classifications
Assist the Security Manager in the development and execution of training exercises.
Work with departmental leaders to coordinate and support Emergency Management program.
Qualifications
Must currently possess a Secret clearance or be able to obtain and maintain one within six months of acceptance for position.
Be a U.S. Citizen, 18 years or older.
Experience working in a secured environment with sensitive material.
Experience with Special Access Program (SAP) policies, NISPOM, SAEDA, Army Physical Security and Emergency Management Services regulations, Security Classification Guides (SCGs), and DA Forms 7708
Strong experience using Microsoft One applications, such as, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint
5 years of experience directly related to Security/Emergency services.
Experience working with Army DOD civilians and uniformed military personnel.
High School or Equivalency diploma; College level degree preferred or military experience.
Experience working with subcontractors and high-level business personnel.
Strong oral and writing skills; must be able to conduct briefs to senior leadership.
Be willing to travel up to 10% of the time.
Strong multitasking skills and attention to details
Required Education, Experience, & Skills
High School or Equivalency diploma; College level degree preferred or military experienceor other post education within the security/emergency services realms
Physical Security, OSHA, FEMA, Antiterrorism certifications
5 years of experience in security, and emergency services

Preferred Education, Experience, & Skills
Bachelor s degree, or other post education within the security/emergency services realms

Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $73778 - $125422

However, individual salaries are determined by a variety of factors including, but not limited to: business considerations, local market conditions, and internal equity, as well as candidate qualifications, such as skills, education, and experience.
