Zurich Insurance is seeking an. This is a fully remote position, offering the flexibility of a home-based office.

In this role, you will be responsible for negotiating medical bill disputes, handling legal responses and filings, and representing Zurich at medical bill dispute hearings. Additionally, you will assist in training and mentoring Medical Bill Review team members, helping them research and handle medical bill disputes as well as responses.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Negotiation skills handling primarily Worker's Compensation cases.

  • Handle legal responses and filings, ensuring timely and accurate submissions.

  • Represent Zurich in medical bill dispute hearings.

  • Review and assess complex claim documents, including complaints, answers, motions to dismiss, and other legal filings

  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date claims documentation, ensuring compliance with best practices for high-complexity claims specific to your Line of Business.

  • Develop strategies for resolving complex claims, ensuring proper and timely reserving.

  • Work with external counsel and consultants to develop solutions for high-exposure claims that are financially sound and customer-centric.

  • Analyze medical bill disputes/litigation and outcomes, to determine trends. Work with Medical Bill Review AVP to review and implement strategies.

Basic Qualifications:

  • Juris Doctor and 7 or more years of experience in the Legal area

OR

  • JD and 7 or more years of legal practice experience in the insurance area

OR

  • Must obtain and maintain required adjuster license(s)

  • Experience in insurance claims and the insurance legal and regulatory environment

  • Negotiation experience

  • Customer service experience

  • Microsoft Office experience.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Licensed Member of the Bar

  • Extensive experience in and in-depth knowledge of Casualty claims management

  • Highly detail-oriented with a strong focus on accuracy

  • Excellent verbal, written, and interpersonal communication skills

At Zurich, compensation for roles is influenced by a variety of factors, including but not limited to the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. We encourage candidates with salary expectations beyond the provided range to apply, as they will be considered based on their experience, skills, and education. The salary indicated represents a nationwide market range and has not been adjusted for geographic differentials pertaining to the location where the position may be filled. The proposed salary rangefor this position is $130,000.00 - $213,000.00 with short-term incentive bonus eligibility set at 20%.
