This position is part of the Information Technology (IT) Department located at any of the following sites: Coralville, San Diego, Redwood City, Boulder, Boston or Raleigh and will be on-site. In this role, you will have the opportunity to:

• Lead the design and implementation of business application solutions that align with stakeholder requirements, ensuring scalability, reliability, security, and performance.

• Lead and manage high performing engineering teams through proper staffing, mentorship, and resource planning. Foster a collaborative environment across all levels of the organization to enable the department to meet organizational objectives.

• Collaborate with executive leadership and cross-departmental teams (e.g., marketing, sales, and R&D) to identify strategic opportunities for revenue growth and operational efficiency.

• Drive an Agile Transformation in the IT organization through development and implementation of Agile strategy. Is the subject matter expert for Agile transformation and serves cross functionally as the Agile change leader.

• Manage all aspects of the largest growth vector in Gene Editing order intake and processing and enterprise-wide complex risk initiatives.

• Establish and enforce security measures and compliance standards to meet industry regulations.

• Stay ahead of industry trends by identifying emerging technologies, evaluating their applicability to improve business application solutions, and influencing key stakeholders on risks and rewards of these technologies.

The essential requirements of the job include:

• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, or a related technical discipline OR equivalent experience

• Minimum of 10 years of experience in software engineering

• Minimum 5 years of managing distributed engineering teams in varying time zones.

• Strong leadership and team building skills, with the ability to inspire, motivate, and mentor engineering teams.

• Well-versed in Agile methodologies with the ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously.

Travel, Motor Vehicle Record & Physical/Environment Requirements:

• Ability to travel – 5% travel, overnight, within territory or locations

It would be a plus if you also possess previous experience in:

• Forward-thinking and innovative mindset with a passion for driving growth.

• Proven ability to lead discussions with both business and technical leaders, navigating organizational hurdles and influencing key stakeholders.

The salary range for this role is $165,000-$190,000. This is the range that we in good faith believe is the range of possible compensation for this role at the time of this posting. This range may be modified in the future.

This job is also eligible for bonus/incentive pay.
