Job Description :
The Electrical Engineer will be responsible for the design and development of new, and upgrade/retrofit of existing intelligent systems and industrial controls. This position will report to the Engineering Manager and will be responsible for designing and programing new electrical control systems along with supporting existing systems.
Essential Duties/Principal Responsibilities:
· Produce electrical engineering documentation such as schematic drawings, harness drawings.
· Design electrical controls which include their operation and troubleshooting manuals.
· Provide support to the production team by creating, modifying and troubleshooting industrial machinery/equipment.
· Assist with the install of electrical controls in both new and existing equipment.
· Develop, troubleshoot and install control programs for PLC.
· Identify and implement design improvement projects directed at reducing cost and improving product development.
· Assure product quality by designing electrical testing methods; testing finished machinery and system capabilities.
· Establish system requirements, design to those requirements, and validate that the system meets the requirements.
· Work to project timelines and within budget targets; manage tasks to ensure schedules are met and complete documentation per process and standard work.
· Support existing machinery in production including cost reductions, new features, and manufacturing improvements.
· Identify new electrical technologies, validate performance and application potential, and establish network to maintain awareness of relevant technology.
· Compliance with safety and regulatory requirements
Minimum Qualifications: Education, Experience, Skills, License/Certification:
Bachelor of Science degree in Electrical Engineering or 3 Years of on the job experience with Associates Degree.
5+ years’ experience in electrical experience creating or modifying industrial machinery/equipment.
Advanced understanding of engineering principles and tools including circuit design, PLC, PLC programming, Controls standards, signal processing, circuit and system modeling, properties of materials, mechanical stress, and system reliability required.
Must be proficient with Allen Bradley:
Must be able to design PLC control systems using Allen Bradley: MicroLogix and ControlLogix PLC’s.
Experience creating electrical drawings and panel layouts in Autocad.

Pay Details: $85,000.00 to $100,000.00 per year
