WSP USA Emergency Management Specialist in Raleigh, North Carolina
This Opportunity
WSP is currently initiating a search for an Emergency Management Specialist to report out of our Columbia, SC, Charleston, SC or Raleigh, NC office. Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
Your Impact
Emergency Management cost estimating and pricing development
Disaster Recovery/Public Assistance project support
Emergency response cost/documentation unit support, project financial reporting
Subcontractor and vendor management support
Emergency response operations and logistics support, project reporting
Subcontractor and vendor management support
Operational system and application management
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s Degree in Business, Engineering, Emergency Management, Public Administration, or similar/related concentration, or equivalent.
1-3 years experience in Emergency Management, including public sector experience in an Emergency Operations Center.
Advanced knowledge of Emergency management operations, financial management principles, federal grants, planning.
Travel Required - Must be able to deploy with little or no advance notice to project sites for an extended period of time.
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Preferred Qualifications
- FEMA IS Courses, OSHA 30, HAZWOPER.
