This position | | must prioritize reservation requests based on space requirements, | | complexity of the event, and event scope. | | | | Essential Job Duties Other Responsibilities | | | | Duties and responsibilities include, but are n t limited to: | | | | - Confirm existing reservations with clients prior to events. | | - Meet with clients for complex events to determine event setup and | | audio-visual needs. | | - Coordinate event services with other campus partners, including | | but not limited to catering, streaming/recording, security, | | transportation, etc. | | - Determine event staffing needs based on the NC State Student | | Center's policy and event complexity. | | - Coordinate with building services regarding housekeeping, | | maintenance, loading dock, and information services. | | - Coordinate with catering regarding setup and access to event | | space. | | - Coordinate with external departments regarding ground | | maintenance, fire regulations, safety, security, and other | | regulatory protocol. | | - Assist in the recruiting, hiring, training and scheduling of | | temporary and student employees to work various events. | | - Model the Division's mission and values and foster a positive, | | cohesive workplace and congeniality among co-workers. | | - Understand the goals and culture of the organization, and | | understand how employees' work activities, teamwork, and | | customer service impact clients. Minimum Experience/Education

  • High School Diploma or equivalency and one year of related office experience; or equivalent combination of training and experience.

Other Required Qualifications

  • Team environment oriented.
  • Proficient with the use of a computer and have the ability to learn new software.
  • Ability to use or learn to use email.
  • Must be able to set priorities.
  • Able to work in a fast-paced environment and work with a sense of urgency.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills to effectively communicate with customers, peers and supervisors; and professionally communicate with multiple levels of employees within the University.
  • Must follow written and verbal instructions.
  • Provide outstanding customer service, including the ability to remain professional and respectful under pressure when dealing with difficult situations, to team and customers.
  • Demonstrated excellent customer service skills via telephone, email, and in person.
  • Excellence in completing all tasks and performance goals.
  • Excellent organizational skills.
  • Able to think creatively to solve problems.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with customer service.
  • Experience in event planning.

Required License or Certification

  • Valid Driver's License required. State vehicle furnished to drive to events or other Campus Enterprises locations.
  • License must be maintained as a condition of employment.
