WSP is currently initiating a search for On-Call Emergency Management Specialists - Response to work out of our offices in Florida, North Carolina, South Carolina or Texas, to include Jacksonville, FL; Tallahassee, FL; Orlando, FL; Tampa, FL; Miami, FL; Raleigh, NC; Columbia, SC; Dallas, TX; or Houston, TX . Be involved in projects with our Federal Programs Team and be a part of a growing organization that meets our client’s objectives and solves their challenges.
We are seeking individuals who are eager to assist during disasters on an on-call basis as a reservist employee, with the availability to deploy with little or no advance notice and for potentially long durations. This is not a full-time position.

Your Impact
Support Emergency Management team in servicing clients preparing for, responding to, and recovering from disasters nationwide and in US territories.
Deploy to Emergency Operations Center and/or Field Staging Area operations prior to, during, and post-disaster.
Perform a variety of duties including logistics, supply, cost/documentation and/or resource unit functions.
Attend periodic training throughout the year to maintain deployment eligibility.
Support Emergency Management Project Management functions.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct, and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Perform additional responsibilities as required by business needs.
Who You Are
Required Qualifications
HS Diploma
7+ years experience, including 1+ years in an Emergency Management role (Response, Recovery or related), or equivalent.
Broad knowledge of Emergency Management principles, methods and techniques
FEMA Emergency Management Institute Independent Study - Professional Development Series certification.
Travel Required - Must be able to deploy to disaster area, with little or no advance notice and potentially for long durations.
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Exercise responsible and ethical decision-making regarding company funds, resources and conduct and adhere to WSP’s Code of Conduct and related policies and procedures.
Proven track record of upholding workplace safety and ability to abide by WSP’s health, safety and drug/alcohol and harassment policies.
Must successfully complete and pass WSP’s Motor Vehicle screening.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's/Master's Degree in Emergency Management (or related field).
Asset Management and Supply Logistical Operational Experience.
Previous experience working at Field Staging Areas or state Emergency Operations Center or related environment.
