Red Hat Senior Financial Analyst, Corporate Finance in Raleigh, North Carolina

Job Summary:

The Red Hat Corporate Finance team is looking for a Senior Financial Analyst in support of the Red Hat corporate consolidation process in Raleigh, NC or Remote. In this role, you will focus primarily on coordinating Red Hat’s consolidated financial performance and helping senior leadership at Red Hat and IBM understand drivers of financial performance and how it impacts the short-term financial outlook. This role provides the opportunity to contribute insights that drive understanding and strategic decision making at the highest levels of the organization and has significant exposure to executive leadership.

Success will depend on your ability to communicate and organize financial analysis across a variety of teams to support consolidated financial reporting and forecasting. You will also provide leadership and guidance to other teams on timelines, milestones, and requirements for deliverables. This is an opportunity to deploy holistic financial and business acumen to act as a trusted advisor to senior leadership in understanding enterprise level challenges, where you will act as a key facilitator of the overall Red Hat FP&A community.

Primary Job Responsibilities

  • Own and maintain master consolidation workbook comprising all PTI componentry - bookings, revenue, expense, cost, headcount and cash flow

  • Ability to integrate different financial concepts, and craft clear and compelling messaging for senior leadership

  • Coordinate monthly and quarterly close cycles - scheduling necessary meetings, creating content, organizing cross-functional team input

  • Produce well designed and highly accurate presentations and deliverables

  • Strong communication and presentation skills to deliver financial analysis and messaging to RH CFO

  • Build strong relationship with IBM colleagues and act as primary point of contact for intercompany relationship

Required Skills

  • 2-5 years of related professional experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or a related field

  • Expertise in spreadsheet based financial modeling, i.e., sensitivity analysis, revenue forecasting, and time series models using Google Sheets and/or Excel

  • Demonstrated customer service, interpersonal, and time management skills in a fast-paced environment

  • Critical thinker who is willing to go above and beyond to provide business insights

  • Entrepreneurial attitude and problem-solving mindset

  • Equipped with a keen ability to handle ambiguity at times and add structure where necessary

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English

  • Experience with Google and Microsoft Office suites

The salary range for this position is $94,010.00 - $150,410.00. Actual offer will be based on your qualifications.

Pay Transparency

Red Hat determines compensation based on several factors including but not limited to job location, experience, applicable skills and training, external market value, and internal pay equity. Annual salary is one component of Red Hat’s compensation package. This position may also be eligible for bonus, commission, and/or equity. For positions with Remote-US locations, the actual salary range for the position may differ based on location but will be commensurate with job duties and relevant work experience.
