Department: 480501 - HR University Temporary Services (UTS)

Essential Job Duties:

Assist with academic services, including coordinating college course and curricular actions, archiving syllabi, monitoring generic email accounts, and managing calendars.

Assist with registrar duties, including processing scheduling revision requests and transfer course equivalencies.

Assist with grading assignments in the Environmental First Year ( ENVFY ) course, ENV 100, a first year orientation and success course.

Assist with drop-in academic advising for ENVFY students who are undeclared or in transition.

Assist the ENVFY Director with coordinating academic and student support services, including student recruitment and advising support.

Assist with hiring and coordinating the workload of a student worker.

Administrative support (as needed): Assist with office customer reception, schedule meetings, take minutes.

| The option for remote work may be available, contingent upon the qualifications and experience of the candidate, and the needs of the office.

Required Qualifications:

Comfortable with using Google suite or other similar products

  • Excellent customer service skills

  • Be team-oriented

  • Occasional night or weekend work

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience with academic and/or student support

    • Experience with academic advising

    • Experience with Student Information Systems at NC State

    • Experience with Moodle

    • Bachelors degree in an environmental field
