Department: 480501 - UHR Temporary Services

Location: Raleigh, NC

Essential Job Duties:

This position is responsible for the Department Head’s calendar and appointments; coordinating, organizing, and scheduling meetings for Department Hear and faculty; assisting with report editing and preparation, drafting correspondence; and coordinating departmental activities. Serves as the liaison between the Department and other College units.

Responsible for completing and submitting appropriate forms for hires and HR actions to the College’s HR office in a timely manner. Coordinates searches for department, scheduling itineraries, assisting with travel arrangements, and logistics of candidate interviews.

Takes minutes during faculty and committee meetings, developing meeting agendas.

Responsible for ordering departmental supplies.

Requires efficiently utilizing office equipment and other relevant technology software and systems to meet departmental needs.

Required Qualifications:

  • Proficiency in MS Word, Google Calendar, Excel, PowerPoint, Google Drive, and Adobe Acrobat

  • Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work with diverse populations on and off-campus

  • Previous experience managing an executive’s calendar

  • Must have experience in higher education

  • Peoplesoft or Banner experience

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Knowledge of University policies and procedures

  • Prefer at least five years of university experience

  • Prefer 2-4 years of office support experience
