Financial Analyst II

Our client in the Reading, PA area is looking for a Financial Analyst II for a contract role. his position is responsible for key aspects of the monthly financial closing process, including forecasting, analysis, and internal sales reporting. You will play a pivotal role in ensuring the accurate reporting of the Strategic Business Unit's (SBU) rebate and commission programs, along with processing payments in compliance with Sarbanes-Oxley (SOX) regulations and Corporate Policies. The role also involves conducting ad-hoc analyses, managing projects, and providing broad support to the Americas Finance Department.

Responsibilities of Financial Analyst II

  • Execute and oversee various stages of the monthly financial close process, ensuring timely and accurate results.

  • Perform detailed analysis of monthly transactional data to support accurate rebate and commission program reporting.

  • Process payments in alignment with Sarbanes-Oxley requirements and Corporate Policies.

  • Develop and maintain internal sales reports for SBU stakeholders.

  • Collaborate on forecasting and budgeting processes.

  • Conduct ad-hoc financial analyses and contribute to special projects as needed.

  • Identify opportunities for process improvement and implement effective controls

    Requirements

Skills/Qualifications of Financial Analyst II

  • 6+ years of experience in Financial or Business Analytics, or Accounting.

  • Bachelor of Science in Accounting, Finance, or Business Statistics (preferred).

  • Proficient understanding of Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP).

  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Excel.

  • Familiarity with Microsoft Access and Power BI (or a similar business intelligence reporting tool).

  • Hands-on experience with the monthly financial close process, process improvements, and implementing controls.

  • Strong problem-solving, analytical, and communication skills (both oral and written).

  • Exposure to SAP or Salesforce platforms is a plus.
