In this new organization, we are embarking on a cross-company transformation, leveraging incredible teams across key engineering and operational functions. Our foundation in technology and operational excellence will help us tackle challenges, seize opportunities, and create impactful results for our business, customers, and employees.
Our focus is on creating value through continuous improvement, aligning customer needs, technology innovation, and business impact. The candidate should have a proven track record and proficient skills in business program management, business operations, event planning, and customer and partner engagement. This role calls for a balance of strategic and execution skills in ensuring our org and the people in the org are set up for success to meet our priorities. An ability to anticipate and respond quickly as new opportunities and situations arise is critical.
Responsibilities
In this role you will:
Support business operations including ROB, event logistics support, COO briefings and prep, and maintaining our tools and processes.
Help foster a culture where people feel great about working in the org and where we support inclusion, generate energy, and build community by helping drive D&I priorities, career and skills development, and morale.
Handle special projects and incoming requests as they arise.
Maximize and extend the impact of the COO by delivering high quality and efficient prep in partnership with the COS and ensuring follow up and other actions are resolved.
Identify internal opportunities to develop new programs and improve current ones with minimal guidance. Collaborate with others to identify root problems (e.g., root-cause analysis), define the program strategy, gather program requirements and work across teams to align on the plan.
Improve operations of existing programs by applying best-in-class practices. Drive clarity in program issues while striving for simplification.
About you:
You are detail-oriented, strategic, and data-driven – you can work with both quantitative & qualitative data, understanding immediate roadblocks, urgent asks, and long-term initiatives.
You are independent and self-managing – you learn through osmosis, thrive in a dynamic environment without a lot of guidance, and manage ambiguity and competing priorities while producing optimal results.
You can influence others through your expertise– you are able to use logical and strategic thinking to motivate a diverse organization towards a collective goal with precision. You are concise and to the point.
You possess executive maturity and embody our Culture (https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/about/corporate-values) and Values (https://careers.microsoft.com/us/en/culture)
You use sound judgment that incorporates analysis, a pragmatic approach, and consideration of business goals and stakeholder priorities to get to the right outcome for the org, our customers, and the company.
You have strong project management skills, with the ability to drive for results across a distributed set of stakeholders across multiple projects.
You’re adaptable and good at context switching. You’re comfortable flexing between strategy and the nitty-gritty execution. You can comfortably and easily manage multiple projects, switching seamlessly between them. You’re not afraid to roll up your sleeves and get the job done when needed.
You are self-motivated and have a bias for action. You take pride in your work. You hold yourself accountable and do everything you can to proactively help others do the same.
Above all, you’re proactive, positive, and inspired by our mission!
