Data Analyst BCforward is currently seeking a highly motivated Data Analyst remote opportunity. Position Title: Data Analyst Location: Remote Anticipated Start Date: ASAP Please note this is the target date and is subject to change. Title: Data Analyst Location: Remote (Must support PST hours) Duration: 3 Months (Potential chances for extension) Summary: The main function of a Data Analyst is to coordinate data processing changes in Excel, Power BI and data query tools in support of Purchase Order Rollover for FY26 Budget Planning. Job Responsibilities: * Work with PO Management and Technical Teams to confirm data validation, requirements, and best practices for PO data used for Budget Planning * Design, implement, automate and maintain large scale enterprise data - TRIM reporting * Modify existing databases and database management systems and/or direct programmers and analysts to make changes * Test programs or databases, correct errors and make necessary modifications Skills: * Experience with database technologies * Knowledge of the ETL process * Knowledge of at least one scripting language * Strong written and oral communication skills * Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills * Demonstrated history of success * Desire to be working with data and helping businesses make better data driven decisions * Strong knowledge of Excel, Power Bi and Data Query Tools Education/Experience: * Bachelor's degree in technical field such as computer science, computer engineering or related field required * 5-7 years applicable experience required Candidate Requirements: * Years of Experience Required: 5-7 years of experience. * Degrees or certifications required: Preferred but not required (finance/econ/analytics) * Disqualifiers: Someone with a lot of stock market trading experience or trading banking operations experience might not be a good fit. Someone who has a day trading profile or banking clerk would not be a right fit for this role. This is not purchasing - this is a data intensive role - back end compliance data. * Best vs. Average: Telecom experience might be helpful. Advanced excel experience and skills. Understands the transaction workflow and good behavioral skills. Someone with corporate finance experience. * Performance Indicators: Meeting deadlines, timely completing of pure all over deliverables and timely completing of PO attributes delivery to business partners. Top 3 Hard Skills Required + Years of Experience 1. Minimum 5 years of experience with excel/working with large volume downloaded data/SQL 2. Minimum 5 years of experience in financial management. 3.
