Microsoft Corporation has the following job opportunity:

Design, develop, modify, or evaluate electronic parts, components, integrated circuitry, or systems related to Microsoft technologies. Research, design, develop, or test computer or computer-related equipment used in the manufacturing and installation of Microsoft technologies. Define design approaches, technical specifications, and parameters for devices. Select materials and components based on analysis of specifications and reliability. Develop test plans and test cases for design testing or prototype fabrication. Analyze designs to establish intended operating parameters, conduct experimental tests, and perform analyses on data generated from test results to verify and validate whether operating parameters are met. Identify root causes for technical issues, flaws, and design challenges, and develop and implement solutions. Track new developments in the industry, which may include an emphasis on regulatory compliance requirements, quality, security, and suspicious activity reports. Telecommuting permitted less than 50%/week within same geographic location as assigned Microsoft office location.

Minimum Job Requirements:

 

  • Education: Bachelor's degree or foreign equivalent degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Hardware Engineering or a related field.

     

  • Experience: Three (3) years of experience designing, implementing or testing computer systems.

     

  • Specific Skills: Must include 24 months of experience in semiconductor equipment, and Metrology; 12 months of experience in Lithography, automated testing tools, and Optics; and 6 months of experience in Ellipsometry, and automated optical inspection.

Pay Range and Benefits Information:

The offered base pay range for this specific position TSSKY17199A, in Redmond, WA, is $161,620 to $191,620.

Microsoft has different base pay ranges for different work locations within the United States, which allows us to pay employees competitively and consistently in different geographic markets. Individual base pay depends on various factors, in addition to primary work location, such as complexity and responsibility of role, job duties/requirements, and relevant experience and skills. Base pay ranges are reviewed and typically updated each year. Offers are made within the base pay range applicable at the time.

At Microsoft certain roles are eligible for additional rewards, including merit increases, annual bonus, and stock. These awards are allocated based on individual performance. In addition, certain roles also have the opportunity to earn sales incentives based on revenue or utilization, depending on the terms of the plan and the employee's role.
