MORE ABOUT THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST POSITION:
CareerStaff Unlimited partners with companies around the country to raise the bar in healthcare by setting new standards for quality care and personalized service. Responsibilities for this Occupational Therapist opportunity include, but are not limited to:
Provides Occupational Therapy services to students in accordance with district policies and IEPs.
Conducts student screening, in accordance with the policies of the district to determine need for intervention/treatment.
Evaluates students to obtain data necessary for treatment planning and implementation. Interprets and communicates evaluation findings to student, family, and other team members.
Establishes individual student schedules in conjunction with other team members.
Develops treatment plans by identifying a problem list, including short and long-term goals and methods to achieve identified goals.
Coordinates treatment plan with student, family, and other team members. Implements and conducts treatment as outlined in treatment plan.
Monitors patient's response to intervention and modifies treatment as indicated to attain goals in accordance with physician orders.
Develops appropriate home or community programming to maintain and enhance the performance of the student in his or her own environment.
Documents results of student's assessment, treatment, follow-up and termination of services.
JOB REQUIREMENTS FOR THE OT OCCUPATIONAL THERAPIST:
Masters of Science in Occupational Therapy from an accredited program. Successful completion of National Certification Examination for O.T.R.
1 year of verifiable, supervised professional experience.
Current state licensure and ESA Certification through OSPI.
The employee is required to have visual and hearing acuity (with or without the aid of mechanical devices) sufficient to assess resident safety and ability.
