Aerotek MIG Welder in Reidsville, North Carolina
Description
A Welder is able to tack, weld, and assemble material for industrial parts to drawing specifications.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES include, but are not limited to the following: Other duties may be assigned. Safely operating in all areas is mandatory.
• 2-5 years of experience. • Able to work safely, follow all rules, and meet quality standards. • Set up TIG, MIG, & Stick welding machines based on the job at hand. • Able to read drawings to determine the specific welding requirements. • Able to layout & weld heavy metal by blueprint from start to finish. • Provide a great level of attention to detail and focus on the given task. • Able to provide support to team members to maximize productivity and efficiency. • Able to assemble items as instructed by shop foreman. • Able to prepare product for shipment
Fabrication Machines include plasma tables, press brakes, CNC punches, rollers, grinders, drill presses, etc.

While performing the duties of this job the employee is regularly required to talk or hear, stand, walk, reach, feel by touch, stoop, kneel, bend and crouch. Employee spends the majority of the day walking or standing at a machine station.
The employee must regularly lift and/or move up to 50 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 100 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, peripheral vision.

• Ability to follow directions, comply with standards of performance, and makes corrections when instructed. • Ability to work independently as well as with a team. • Ability to work a flexible work schedule, including being available for overtime and on-call assignments. • Ability to read and write at a level sufficient to complete basic paperwork associated with the job, such as timesheets and written job-related reports. • Ability to operate a forklift at the location where you work. • Ability to use measuring tools to ensure accuracy and quality of finished products. • Knowledgeable and skilled with CAD programing software. • A general understanding of installation for various types of fabricated equipment and parts. • Proficiency in welding techniques and the ability to perform basic welding tasks.

Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $20.00 - $23.00
