Reporting to the Strategy & Business Operations Leader, the Regional Indirect Sourcing Leader is responsible for the development and deployment of the Regional Indirect Sourcing Support model. This model will be enable execution of the Indirect Sourcing & Operations Center of Excellence concept and will include methods of data gathering, monitoring and reporting of the indirect sourcing spend and practices across all GE Aerospace US sites.

Job Description

Roles and Responsibilities

  • Support the deployment of the Indirect Sourcing & Operations Policies and Documentation including:

  • Indirect Sourcing & Operations Enterprise Standard

  • Training manuals (in conjunction with the Senior Sourcing Initiatives Leader and the relevant subject owners)

  • Management and reporting of internal monitoring and site visits including:

  • Represent Indirect Sourcing & Operations in cross-functional meetings and site visits

  • Compile and analyze required data to satisfy monitoring requirements (with relevant subject owners)

  • Capture corrective actions and drive completion and accountability

  • Work with Operations Leader to create a repository of data/information that can be leveraged for change over time

  • Site Training and Engagement Visits

  • In conjunction with global regional leader, develop site assessment tool to calculate potential compliance risk

  • Utilize tool to design and implement site visit strategy with annual site visit calendar and supporting action tracker

  • Engage wider team members effectively to implement strategy

  • Document and improve Indirect Sourcing strategies at US site level.

  • Skilled influencer, able to communicate complex messages to others. Acts as a resource for colleagues with less experience. May lead small projects with moderate risks and resource requirements. Explains difficult or sensitive information; works to build consensus. Developing persuasion skills required to influence others on topics within field.

  • Impacts approaches, projects and programs in the functional area or affected business organization and ways of working.

  • Impacts quality, efficiency and effectiveness of their team. This position will have significant input into their priorities. Working within broad guidelines and policies, this role will have moderate autonomy, requiring high levels of evaluative judgment.

Uses technical experience and expertise for data analysis to support recommendations. Uses multiple internal and limited external sources outside of own function to arrive at decisions.

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college (or a high school diploma / GED with at least 4 years of experience in Indirect Sourcing, Sourcing/Procurement, Supply Chain, or Project Management roles).

  • Minimum 5 years' experience in Indirect Sourcing, Sourcing/Procurement, Supply Chain, or Project Management roles

  • Travel up to 20% required
