Saint-Gobain Business Development Manager - AA National Accounts in Remote, United States

Reporting to the National Sales Manager, the prospective candidate will articulate quantified goals for each strategic business initiative and collaborate with key stakeholders (Product Management, Purchasing, Supply Chain, Marketing, Finance Partners, National Account Managers, etc.) to define deliverables and timelines. This professional is expected to develop a unique strategic growth plan focused on partnering with National Accounts to meet the growth initiatives of the AA Channel in the marketplace.

This role is expected to develop a unique strategic view of the organization, measure progress, and clearly communicate goals and risks to various stakeholders, including Senior Management. The prospective candidate will influence, motivate, and bring together internal and external teams to work towards the same goals, improving the cross-functional communications and organization to accelerate our market share position in the AA Channel. This professional keeps a high-level overview of the project portfolio as well as the roadmap of individual activities and continuously strives to optimize resources and maintain priorities and timelines by anticipating bottlenecks and developing mitigation plans in collaboration with stakeholders.

Essential Functions:

MANAGEMENT OF NATIONAL DISTRIBUTION CUSTOMER'S PROGRAMS

  • Establish & maintain key relationships with Vendor Managers at National Distribution Partners.

  • Lead execution of growth initiatives at National Distribution partners, working closely with relevant sales team members and defining the overall timeline and deliverables across multiple departments (Marketing, Product Management, Finance, Customer Service, Supply Chain, etc.).

  • Collaborate with Finance Development to enhance the profitability of the National Distribution programs. Ensure price integrity and overall market positioning.

  • Communicate the overall P&L impact of developed programs and secure buy-in from the National Sales Manager.

  • Collaborate with the National Sales Manager to articulate and execute the commercial strategy for the AA Channel.

  • Coordinate periodic meetings to review the strategic account plan, their goals, and the milestones.

  • Provide forecasts and work with internal SGA stakeholders to optimize our performance.

  • Field work with National Distribution partners across the United States to execute locally on sales growth initiatives.

TEAM MANAGEMENT & LEADERSHIP

  • Drives organizational change.

  • Coaches, mentors, and develops indirect reports.

  • Brings the team members to a shared vision to execute growth initiatives.

  • Promotes and drives a culture of inclusion, engagement, and involvement.

  • Facilitates cross-functional teams and builds strong strategic alliances across departments to achieve key objectives.

  • Prioritizes projects, programs, and team activities and allocates or advocates for the allocation of resources (within or beyond the team as appropriate) to ensure that key customer and business needs are addressed.

NEW BUSINESS DEVELOPMENT

  • Developing the breadth of line at existing customers to enhance our value proposition and strengthen our position at accounts.

  • Prospecting and targeting new business opportunities at National Distributors and Collision Center accounts.

  • Monitors and communicates economic, technological, industrial, and other trends impacting relevant brands/products.

  • Assess the competitive landscape and develop customer programs to address needs or close opportunities identified in the marketplace.

Requirements:

  • Bachelor's degree - Business Administration or Marketing (Required)

  • 5+ years of progressive technical sales experience (Required)

  • 5+ years of a proven track record of managing distribution and end-user partners (Preferred)

  • 5+ years of owning strategy for a large and impactful program and end-to-end delivery (Preferred)

We believe in the importance of pay transparency in what we offer potential candidates. Provided is the national pay range for this position which is $89,500 to $138,500 per year. However, the base pay offered may vary depending on geographic region, internal equity, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience among other factors.

In addition to base salary, this position is eligible for an annual bonus. The targeted bonus amount is 20% with a max of 45% of base salary based on company and individual performance measures. Bonus payments are part of variable compensation and by nature can vary based on company and individual performance and is not a guarantee.
