We are looking for a Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator to join our Agricultural Solutions. Location preference is firstly as an onsite position based in Champaign, IL; second preference is a remote role in Iowa/Illinois, or we will consider other remote US locations for a strongly qualified candidate.

As a Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator, you will manage transportation, logistics, and inventory control for BASF North America Soy Seeds Supply. Your role involves collaboration with partners and customers to ensure efficient operations, adherence to policies, and continuous improvement of processes. You will also oversee inventory accuracy, cycle counting, and shipping cost optimization.

As a Logistics Inventory Control Coordinator, you create chemistry by...

  • Monitoring customer delivery schedules to optimize logistics costs for True Bulk, Truck Load, and LTL shipments, while making recommendations to improve cost and delivery experience.

  • Utilizing tools like YPRESCHD, VLO60, and RISLA to coordinate commercial shipments and Stock Transfer Orders (STOs), adjusting for production schedules and market conditions.

  • Performing cycle counts and audits of inventory to ensure accuracy, investigating discrepancies, and communicating major issues to stakeholders.

  • Following BASF accounting controls for SAP inventory adjustments related to reconciliations and disposals, while coordinating counting efforts bi-monthly.

  • Analyzing inventory control processes and recommending improvements, leveraging tools and resources from other BASF businesses.

  • Assisting with root cause analysis on distribution non-conformances (NCM) and developing recommendations for improvements.

  • Providing training and support for third-party Soy Production Multiplier sites, including updating and creating training materials.

If you...

  • Possess a BA/BS degree in logistics, supply chain management, or a related discipline, or 4 years equivalent related industry experience without a degree.

  • Bring 3 to 5 years of experience in distribution, logistics, supply chain management, transportation, warehousing, or a related field.

  • Hold a certification in Supply Chain Management (APICS, CSCP), preferred.

  • Have operations experience in freight logistics and inventory control.

  • Have experience using analytical tools to solve work-related problems and identify best practices.

  • Understand and have knowledge of the seed industry or an industry that serves customers directly.

  • Exhibit strong data analytic skills and proficiency in SAP and Microsoft Office software (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook), as well as analytical software.

  • Are able to travel up to 10%.

Pay Transparency

BASF is committed to pay transparency practices. The competitive Pay Range for this role is $68,000 - 93,500. Actual pay will be determined based on education, certifications, experience, and other job-related factors permitted by law.
