Kedplasma Supply Chain Specialist - Remote in Remote, United States

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for assisting in logistics and planning functions ranging from order creations, shipments, invoicing, and customer service. Coordinates shipments, manages inventory and resolves supply chain issues. Ensures company goals and objectives are met by managing the supply chain’s operations as an ethical and high-quality provider of plasma. Additionally, ensures supporting strategies are met in accordance with professional standards through policies and procedures, and federal, state, and local, guidelines and / or regulations.

MAIN DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES Core

Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Prepares logistics material for shipment adhering to domestic and international packaging guidelines.

  • Assists in production planning and forecasting (by customer and product) in accordance with company goals and requirements.

  • Collaborates and assists in the planning, shipment, and deliveries to customers.

  • Supports customer relations and cooperation in accordance with contractual obligations.

  • Assists in managing and scheduling of shipments (from plasma collection centers including to and from storage facilities).

  • Maintains relationships and communications with external warehouse(s).

  • Assists in maintaining overall inventory management regarding specialty plasma, backup samples and orphan units to assist plasma collection centers in freezer management.

  • Works closely with Logistics Supervisor and Corporate Inventory & Logistics Manager to know product demand and carries out supply planning activities to ensure continuous uninterrupted product supplies in the market.

  • Works closely with Freight Forwarders and Customs to ensure timely deliveries.

  • Reviews and analyzes line capacity to determine if alternative sourcing is required. In case of overcapacity, coordinates within the Department to ensure consistent supply.

  • Manages inventory, and inbound & outbound logistical operations in logistics system.

  • Assists in sample processing and pooling for all hyperimmune plasma.

  • Develops and maintains reporting for titer management in accordance with Company requirements

  • Assists in preparation of hyperimmune shipments in accordance with titer requirements.

  • Performs reverse logistics specific to plasma recalls (Unit Pull Requests and Lookbacks), ensuring proper and timely execution, and adherence to regulatory guidelines and compliance instructions.

Purchasing Administration - Supply Chain & Logistics

  • Collaborates with Finance, Operations, and Accounting to receive, generate and/or process supplier quotes (PRs), purchase orders (POs), goods receipts (GRs), and all documentation relevant to procurement in SAP.

  • Distributes invoices, PRs, POs and GRs to management and/or applicable departments when needed for review and initiates actions in SAP to generate approvals per policy and procedures.

  • Maintains and distributes daily report of open PRs, POs.

  • Reviews and verifies departmental purchase requests.

  • Reviews requisitions for completeness, accuracy and compliance with established policies and procedures.

  • Resolves identified errors in PRs, POs, and GRs timely.

  • Reviews and analyzes weekly sync reporting identifying and resolving issues as needed.

REQUIREMENTS

Education, Qualifications & Experience

  • Technical and/or advanced education (post High School) or equivalent experience required.

  • Bachelor’s degree in Science or Management or related field preferred.

  • Three to five years of working experience in a biomedical field preferred.

  • Previous supply chain experience helpful.

Physical Requirements

Work is primarily light in nature, with exerting up to 50lbs of force occasionally and/or a negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull or otherwise move objects. Use of fingers to type and / or enter numbers on keyboards, keypads, etc. along with grabbing object(s). Additionally includes, reaching, handling, talking, hearing, bending, stooping, and walking. Involves sitting, standing, and walking most of the time.

Working Conditions

  • Primarily inside with well-lighted and well-ventilated areas.

  • Exposure to Blood Borne Pathogens.

Travel

Travel as needed up to 10% of working time to plasma collection centers and other KEDPLASMA/Kedrion locations, which includes overnight travel.
