BECU Sr Systems Analyst in Remote, Washington

PAY RANGE

The Target Pay Range for this position is $122,000.00-$149,100.00 annually. The full Pay Range is $94,500.00 - $176,500.00 annually. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Incentives are performance based and targets vary by role.

Employees have access to disability and AD&D insurance. We also offer health care and dependent care flexible spending accounts, as well as health savings accounts, to eligible employees. Newly hired employees accrue 6.16 hours of paid time off (PTO) on a per pay period basis based on hours worked (up to a maximum of 160 PTO hours per year) and receive ten paid holidays throughout the calendar year. IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:

As a Sr Systems Analyst (SSA) at BECU, you’ll play a vital role in translating user requirements into impactful system designs that drive business outcomes. Your expertise will shape solutions for complex products, guide cross-functional teams, and ensure seamless project execution. By collaborating with stakeholders and mentoring junior analysts, you’ll help BECU stay ahead of technological advancements while ensuring efficient and scalable solutions that align with our strategic goals.

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

  • Develop Business Cases and Solutions: Lead the creation of business cases and identify viable technology solutions focused on reducing technical debt, meeting compliance standards, and fulfilling business demands.

  • Collaborate on Roadmaps and Requirements: Partner with Product Owners, decision-makers, and end-users to define, document, and prioritize roadmaps, sprint goals, requirements, and user stories.

  • Manage Complex Software Platforms: Oversee the configuration, data management, workflow, reporting, and upgrades of critical software platforms that support financial, product, and compliance requirements.

  • Analyze and Refine Requirements: Break down complex requirements and acceptance criteria to ensure clarity and alignment throughout the project lifecycle.

  • Vendor Coordination: Translate functional specifications into software vendor requirements, manage vendor relationships, and oversee the delivery of solutions.

  • Collaborate Across IT: Work with IT experts to address business, technical, and infrastructure needs, ensuring solutions align with strategic objectives.

  • Oversee Testing and Quality Assurance: Lead the development and refinement of test plans, support testing phases, and manage user acceptance testing to ensure high-quality solutions.

  • Manage Application Changes and Deployments: Lead the installation, configuration, and deployment of application patches, updates, and enhancements across multiple environments, adhering to IT Change Control guidelines.

  • Lead Change Management Initiatives: Assess organizational impacts of change initiatives and present findings to leadership, guiding teams through implementation.

  • Support Product Lifecycle Management: Administer, troubleshoot, and maintain application upgrades, configurations, and lifecycle activity roadmaps, ensuring optimized performance.

  • Mentor and Guide Teams: Mentor less experienced team members, sharing knowledge on systems configurations and tools to foster continuous learning.

  • Ensure Cybersecurity and Compliance: Manage cybersecurity practices and ensure alignment with data privacy, compliance, and regulatory requirements.

  • Document and Communicate: Create and update technical documentation, including user manuals, system specifications, and process diagrams.

  • Lead Technical Demos and Walkthroughs: Conduct walkthroughs and demonstrations for stakeholders, showcasing solutions and gathering feedback.

  • Optimize Systems for Efficiency: Proactively configure systems based on evolving business needs, optimizing performance and scalability.

QUALIFICATIONS: Minimum Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in a technical or related discipline, or equivalent work experience.

  • At least 7 years of experience working with business software applications.

  • Understanding of Cloud Computing theory and application.

  • Proficiency in SQL and relational database concepts, including methods for data analysis, reporting, and validation.

  • Expertise with Agile, Lean, TDD, Waterfall methodologies, and their appropriate use in projects.

Desired Qualifications:

  • Advanced degree in a related field.

  • Proven ability to manage solutions in various programming languages and technical environments.

  • Solid understanding of software engineering terminology, data architecture, and experience with tools like Azure DevOps and JIRA.

  • Excellent problem-solving skills with experience using tools like Splunk and AppDynamics for troubleshooting.

  • Demonstrated experience in developing business cases, including financial analysis and risk assessment.

  • Ability to plan, schedule, and implement projects in accordance with industry standards.

  • Availability for full-time hours with additional on-call support as needed.

  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities and adapt to changing business environments.

  • Strong presentation skills with experience addressing technical and non-technical audiences.

  • Ability to influence stakeholders and drive consensus on project goals.
