We are looking for a Distribution Strategy Manager to join our Agricultural Solutions team in Research Triangle Park, NC.

As a Distribution Strategy Manager you will lead a team and work with Strategic Account Managers to develop & execute US Ag Solutions distribution strategy to drive more than $3.5 billion in annual sales. This includes implementing detailed customer agreements that ensure internal financial KPIs and strategic targets are reached, while ensuring close collaboration with distributor/channel goals.

As a Distribution Strategy Manager - Research Triangle Park, NC, you create chemistry by...

  • Leading the Customer Plan development with Strategic Account Managers to align with BASF's financial and strategic KPIs.

  • Ensuring financial steering and performance monitoring with the Commercial Operations team to meet spending guardrails within Customer Plans.

  • Proactively resolving distribution-related issues like profitability, supply, and product placement challenges.

  • Initiating and executing process improvements to enhance business and financial operations.

  • Maintaining clear communication with internal stakeholders and external partners to ensure onboarding materials for distributors are accurate.

  • Collaborating across functions to implement initiatives that meet distributor strategic objectives and drive change through new ideas.

If you have...

  • Bachelors Degree in Business, Agriculture, Accounting/Finance or related field. MBA degree preferred.

  • At least 10 years of business experience, including at least 5 years of experience in commercial/financial/controlling operations.

  • Team leadership experience is strongly preferred.

  • Strong understanding of business systems, reporting, and various analytical systems, in order to further leverage strong analytical skills required.

  • Experience working with senior leadership (i.e. presentations to senior leadership, business plans, influencing, and challenging).

  • Experience interacting and working closely with sales personnel, marketing, supply chain, customer service, legal, finance.

  • Experience across multiple industries and/or multiple facets of the agricultural industry is preferred.

  • Experience in Tableau, PowerBI, and / or other similar data visualization software is preferred.

  • Experience in agile project management.
