The ideal candidate is someone who understands that the brand is bigger than the music, and involves local talent, local content, great promotions and knowing your listeners by being active in the community. You will be the live and local face of the station and represent it frequently at remotes, public appearances, parades, festivals and other events. Additionally, you will be responsible for managing and assigning production for the market to ensure the highest quality commercial and liner content for our clients and the stations. Plan and oversee on-air programming and production for one or more stations with the goal of entertaining listeners and enforcing the station\'s brand. Work closely with Sales and Promotions to ensure on-air giveaways, contesting, and station appearances/broadcasts will resonate with the appropriate station persona. Recommend action items for improvement and promotion of the stations\' unique brand. Prepare and perform a topical radio show by gathering information from reliable sources. Schedule music and/or perform other shifts as needed. Monitor broadcast equipment in the studio and make recommendations for improvement or changes. Provide support to the Station Chief Engineer when appropriate. Provide reports to the Operations & Brands Manager as needed. Attend meetings as required.
