Position Summary

Supervise Ocean shipments processes and execution in order to allow smooth Buy & Sell activities of Procurement by monitoring shipment execution by suppliers and shippers ensuring the stock is shipped on time to fulfil Nestlé Markets requirements. Managing and guiding the usage of Shipments Management Systems, enhancing visibility and fostering collaboration across our suppliers and customers. Maintaining close relationships with Suppliers, Shippers, Ocean Carriers and the markets, solving issues and driving performances toward expected service levels.

A day in the life of...

• Be super-user in the usage of Shipments Management Systems, helping users to track, maintain visibility and collaborate efficiently in the platform.

• Monitor shipments execution of product from origin to destination (booking, samples approval, delivery) and ensure shipment on time within the fortnight specified by the Planner and/or aligned with the Business necessity

• Supervise Shipping Lines operations, in order to ensure a smooth execution of shipments

• Be the Operational SPOC in Nestlé to resolve booking exceptions / vessels space issues by being the expert in the origins. Anticipate potential supply risks and support Planners to prepare BCP in case needed

• Prepare and Lead yearly vendor evaluation reviews to provide valuable feedback to procurement about their performance.

• Monitor Shipments' Platforms performance based on agreed SLA, ensuring business continuity and driving continuous improvement.

• Monitor carriers booking process, ensuring compliance with ocean contracts allocations defined by GLP.

• Manage process to redirect containers to new Destination (COD) when necessary.

• Support and collaborate on export traffic activates, export documentation, custom clearance if needed.

• Establish good communication with suppliers, Procurement, Shipping Lines and GLP.

• Support on logistics projects, proactively seeking and implementing continuous improvement initiatives.

What will make you successful

• Bachelor's degree in: Business Administration, Economics, Industrial Engineer or related area;

• Significant experience (min 5 years) in freight forwarding industry / Shipping Lines (import / export operations);

• Project management in Supply Chain

• Dealing or working with/for Providers

• Commodity understanding (Preferred)

• Excellent interpersonal relationship skills;

• Availability for hybrid work or teleworking;

• Proactivity is key to achieving the objectives;

• Excellent communication skills;

• Domain in Stakeholder management is key;

• English and Spanish Advanced Level is mandatory
