The CPCCo Business Operations team is seeking a self-directed and well-organized Accountant & Financial Analyst with a strong accounting and analytics background who works well in a team environment. If you are a Finance professional with the ability to multi-task and handle multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment, we want to speak to you! Under direction of organizational leadership, the Accountant & Financial Analyst performs assignments of an advanced degree of complexity, solves unique problems that have a broad impact on the business or direction of the Finance organization, and is recognized as a subject matter expert within the Finance organization. The Accountant & Financial Analyst has the required knowledge and ability to select and apply standard financial and accounting techniques, procedures, and criteria in the Finance Organization, performs duties requiring independent thought and judgment, and displays good analytical, organizational, and communication skills. A day in the life of an Accountant & Financial Analyst involves, but is not limited to: * Participate in discussions with subject matter experts to gather reporting and analytic requirements. * Capture and analyze business requirement needs for reporting tools. * Work within established company procedures to build and maintain Power BI reports in collaboration with data owners and system owners. * Develop a working knowledge of financial business processes, including financial data entry and upload, and the flow of data between heterogeneous systems. * Provide support to design, develop, test and document reports, dashboards, and other financial analytic tools. * Develop reporting tools to assist in the preparation of contract deliverables in accordance with the prime contract, as needed. * Develop or refine existing reporting tools ensuring compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP), Cost Accounting Standards (CAS) and applicable DOE guidelines and procedures. * Work with a variety of financial datasets (general ledger, cost, invoicing, procurement, etc.), to create reports, analytics, and key performance indicators (KPIs) for internal and external stakeholders. * Define, develop, and create reporting tools for fraud and business analytics. * Work special projects upon request providing sound technical strategies and recommendations to management. * Collaborate and provide insightful interpretive compliance guidance leading to improved accountability and process improvements within the organization including improvements to existing systems/tools. * Provide technical guidance and support to ongoing process impr
