Job Title: Die Maintenance Technician

Job Description

We are seeking a Die Maintenance Technician to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for the maintenance, repair, and troubleshooting of die cast dies. This role involves both preventive and routine maintenance, as well as making minor corrections to ensure dies are functioning as designed. This position requires a strong understanding of die maintenance and repair, print reading, and the use of various measuring equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Assemble casting dies.

  • Troubleshoot dies that are not working properly.

  • Make repairs to a die while it is on a die-cast machine.

  • Create maintenance work requisitions for die maintenance equipment and die-related issues such as hydraulic cylinder fixes and electrical work.

  • Read and interpret product, die-cast, and trim die prints, and use measuring equipment such as micrometers, depth micrometers, dial indicators, and calipers.

  • Use AutoVue to view designs.

  • Set limit switches and perform final fitting of slide(s) and slide locks.

  • Operate ejector pin grinder, hydraulic cavity extraction equipment, and hydraulic power unit used for final inspection of hydraulic cylinder setups.

  • Maintain a clean and organized work environment.

  • Perform other related duties as assigned.

Work Environment

This position requires working the 3rd shift from 10:00 PM to 6:30 AM, with training provided on the 1st shift from 6:00 AM to 2:30 PM.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $58240.00 - $58240.00/yr.
