Job Title: Maintenance Technician
Job Description
Perform maintenance and/or repairs (planned, unplanned, emergency) on production, processing, and packaging equipment as well as utility related equipment or systems. Perform preventative maintenance; perform routine inspections of equipment for assessment of reliability and performance. Read, analyze, and interpret technical procedures, electrical schematics, service manuals, and work orders to perform required maintenance and service. Assist operators with training or troubleshooting to minimize equipment downtime. Use a variety of hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment in performing duties. Ensure all repairs are documented. Complete all paperwork clearly, legibly, and accurately with required information. Document all required information in accordance with standard operations procedures. Follow all good manufacturing practices (GMP) and work in a manner consistent with all corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements. Majority of repairs are reactive. There are preventative maintenance schedules in place during non busy hours.
Responsibilities
Perform maintenance and repairs on production, processing, packaging, and utility equipment
Conduct preventative maintenance and routine equipment inspections
Read and interpret technical procedures, schematics, service manuals, and work orders
Assist operators with training and troubleshooting
Utilize various hand and power tools, electric meters, and material handling equipment
Document all repairs and complete paperwork accurately
Follow good manufacturing practices (GMP), and adhere to corporate regulatory, food safety, quality, and sanitation requirements
Essential Skills
Mechanical troubleshooting - pneumatics, electric motors, changing bearings, sprockets, hydraulics
Electrical troubleshooting - 24v-480v; multi-meter use; photo eyes; checking contacts; motor circuits
Experience with tools and equipment relevant to the role
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Tig welding or fabrication
Experience in food and beverage industry
Aseptic or clean room experience

The pay range for this position is $60840.00 - $60840.00
