Job Title: Sheet Metal Mechanic

Job Description

We are hiring experienced Sheet Metal Mechanics to perform work on new construction commercial projects around Richmond, VA. Ideal candidates will have over 5 years of experience in the sheet metal trade.

Responsibilities

• Read and interpret blueprints

• Fabricate, assemble, install, and repair sheet metal products and equipment

• Utilize hand and power tools

Essential Skills

• 5+ years of experience in the sheet metal trade

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints

• Experience in commercial construction

• Proficiency with hand and power tools

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with HVAC systems

• Knowledge of duct work and installation

• Mechanical aptitude

• Experience in sheet metal installation

Work Environment

The work schedule is Monday through Friday, from 7 AM to 5 PM. There is some opportunity for overtime. Projects are located in Downtown Richmond and Petersburg, VA. Candidates must be comfortable commuting to projects within a 60-mile radius of Richmond.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Richmond, Virginia.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $30.00/hr.
