Equinor Supply Chain Consultant – Contract and Project management in Rio De Janeiro, Brazil
What does the job involve?
Responsible for driving the overall leadership and strategic performance of Supply Chain Management. This includes global accountability for Category Management, Task Management and/or Competence Centre Leadership. The aim is to optimise the contribution from the supply chain to the overall purpose, goals, and strategy of the Company. This includes safe, secure, resilient, decarbonized, and sustainable supply chains. Ensure compliance, commercial and innovative market excellence through competence, supplier relationship management and digital transformation.
You are utilizing your knowledge to independently solve complex tasks with a short-term operational or tactical impact/risk. You deliver on tasks defined by others (and potentially partly defined by you) with significant impacts on team objectives. You independently communicate within the immediate team, across different areas, and towards key stakeholders, including partners or external parties. You may navigate potentially conflicting agendas. You adhere to established procedures and identify as well as resolve challenges. You proactively seek continuous improvement, embrace change and ambiguity, You demonstrate flexibility to adopt new activities and ways of working, and take ownership of your own work. You follow and comply with safety, ethics, and compliance requirements and align with leadership expectations and company values.
What will my tasks be?
Within this position, your key tasks will be to:
Act as the company's single point of contact for contract-related matters with the contractor/supplier after the agreement has been awarded.
Lead the contract team, which includes dedicated members and on-demand resources.
Involve other contract team members/discipline specialists as necessary.
Establish, execute, and update a risk-based follow-up plan with defined activities throughout the total contract management phase.
Monitor suppliers' performance using established key performance indicators (KPIs) focused on SSU, delivery, quality, cost, and behaviour.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of supplier performance and identify necessary actions in the event of supplier underperformance, in close cooperation with other contract team members.
Ensure that the contract is used as intended according to the defined scope of work in the contract(s) and manage work in accordance with governmental legislation, agreement terms, and company requirements.

Bachelor’s Degree in Economics, Engineering, or Business Administration.
Minimum of 5 years of professional experience, including at least 3 years in the Oil & Gas or Mining industries.
Fluent in English (written and spoken).
Experience in supply chain management is highly desirable.
Proven track record in contract and project management will be considered a significant advantage.
Strong focus on safety and compliance, with excellent stakeholder management skills.
Pragmatic approach to business needs, combined with concise communication and analytical thinking.
Willingness to travel as required.
