Job Description

We are seeking an experienced Welder to join our team. The Welder will be responsible for welding 1/2-inch to 1.5-inch A 36 mild steel plates and 2 beam (rectangle and round) based on print callouts. The role involves spending 8 hours per day under the welding hood, ensuring high-quality welds without air pockets, and assembling fabricated parts. Experience with heavy industrial assembly and structural welding is highly desirable.

Responsibilities

• Weld 1/2-inch to 1.5-inch A 36 mild steel plates and 2 beam (rectangle and round) according to print callouts.

• Spend 8 hours per day under the welding hood, ensuring welds are free of quality issues such as air pockets.

• Work on the assembly of fabricated parts.

• Read and interpret blueprints to perform welding tasks accurately.

• Use hand and power tools to complete welding and assembly tasks.

Essential Skills

• Proficiency in MIG welding.

• Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

• Experience with fitting and layouts.

• 2-5 years of Fluxcore welding experience.

• 2-5 years of experience with structural and mild steel equipment.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with heavy industrial assembly.

• Experience with structural welding.

Work Environment

The environment is a mix of indoor and outdoor settings. The position is for the first shift, Monday to Friday from 5am to 3:30pm with a lunch break from 9:45am to 10:15am, and Saturday from 6am to 2:30pm.

Job Type & Location

This is a Contract position based out of Rio Vista, California.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $25.00 - $25.00/hr.
