Job Description:

Parsons is looking for an amazingly talented Testing & Commissioning Specialist t o join our team! The Testing & Commissioning Specialist for Hospitality Projects is responsible for ensuring that all systems and components of hospitality projects are designed, installed, tested, operated, and maintained according to the operational requirements of the owner or final client. This role involves coordinating and overseeing the commissioning process for various systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems, to ensure they function correctly and meet project specifications.

What You'll Be Doing:

• Develop and implement comprehensive testing and commissioning plans for hospitality projects.

• Coordinate with project managers, contractors, engineers, and other stakeholders to ensure all systems are properly commissioned.

• Conduct detailed inspections and tests of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems to verify performance and compliance with design specifications.

• Identify and document any deficiencies or issues discovered during the commissioning process and work with relevant parties to resolve them.

• Prepare and maintain detailed commissioning reports, including test results, inspection findings, and corrective actions taken.

• Ensure all commissioning activities comply with relevant codes, standards, and regulations.

• Provide training and support to facility management staff on the operation and maintenance of commissioned systems.

• Stay updated on the latest industry standards, technologies, and best practices related to testing and commissioning.

• Participate in project meetings and provide technical expertise on commissioning-related matters.

• Ensure that all documentation, including operation and maintenance manuals, as-built drawings, and warranties, are complete and handed over to the client.

What Required Skills You'll Bring:

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.

• Professional certification in commissioning (e.g., Certified Commissioning Professional (CCP), LEED Commissioning) is preferred.

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in testing and commissioning, preferably in hospitality projects.

• Strong knowledge of HVAC, electrical, plumbing, and life safety systems.

• Excellent problem-solving skills and attention to detail.

• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.

• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

• Proficiency in using commissioning software and tools.

• Physical ability to conduct site visits and inspections.
