Description We are seeking an Administrative Assistant to join our team in the non-profit sector, located in Rochester, New York. As an Administrative Assistant, you will be providing essential support to our executive team, detail-oriented group, and department. This role offers a contract to permanent employment opportunity and involves a variety of tasks from managing reports to coordinating meetings.
Responsibilities:
• Provide comprehensive administrative support to the executive team and department.
• Act as the primary point of contact for all report creation and management.
• Ensure efficient and accurate ordering of necessary supplies.
• Coordinate meetings and produce relevant correspondence.
• Handle special projects as needed.
• Maintain a high level of proficiency in Microsoft Office applications.
• Prioritize tasks effectively and adapt to changes in priorities.
• Work independently and collaboratively within a team setting. Requirements • Candidate must possess at least a High School Diploma, GED or equivalent. A degree in a related field is preferred but not mandatory.
• Proven experience as an Administrative Assistant, Secretary or similar role in a non-profit organization.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
• Excellent organizational skills, with an ability to prioritize tasks and handle multiple assignments simultaneously.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills. Fluency in English is required.
• Ability to work effectively, both independently and as part of a team.
• Exhibits high levels of integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
• Demonstrated ability to manage projects, meet deadlines, and adapt to changing priorities.
• Familiarity with non-profit organizations and their administrative procedures is a plus.
• Demonstrated interest in non-profit work and community service.
