Acara Solutions is seeking highly qualified candidates to work ON-SITE with our client in Rochester, NY. Interested?

Here's what you'd do:

  • Responsible for performing functions associated with all manufacturing operations, including working with engineers in set-up and calibration tasks, as well as performing rework and quality testing related to the production of parts, components, subassemblies, and final assemblies.
  • Uses sophisticated programs to collect and evaluate operating data to conduct online adjustments to products, instruments, or equipment.
  • Determines and may assist in developing methods and procedures to control or modify the manufacturing process.
  • Works with engineers in conducting experiments.
  • Entry-level support individual contributor.
  • Work is closely supervised.
  • Work consists of tasks that are routine.
  • Explains facts and practices related to the job area.
  • Detailed instructions are provided and close peer review is needed.
  • Communicates with contacts typically within the team on matters that involve obtaining or providing information requiring explanation or interpretation to understand and reach an agreement.
  • Work is structured within identified boundaries and procedures.
  • Follows established processes to complete tasks.
  • Escalates issues to supervisor for resolution.
  • Works to achieve operational targets within the job area, which has minimal impact on the team's overall results achievement.
  • Work is of limited scope, typically on more minor, routine task-related activities.
  • Communicating with the cal lab and engineering on equipment requiring calibration.
  • Moving equipment between the engineering areas and the calibration cart.
  • Rental equipment requests and replacements.
  • Expedite requests and coordination.
  • Monitoring of equipment list and calibration dates.
  • Some transportation between buildings is needed.

Here's what you'll get:

Pay: $20.00 / hr.

Hours: 40 hrs/Week

Length: Temp to Perm (12 Months)

Job Requirements
Required Skills / Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • Minimum of 1 year experience in Computer operating systems and Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, and Outlook.

Preferred Skills / Qualifications:
  • Familiarity with test equipment, including oscilloscopes, spectrum analyzers, network analyzers, power supplies, DMMs, and signal generators.
  • Ability to communicate well verbally.
  • Ability to interact with others professionally.
  • Ability to self-manage priorities.
  • Have proven prioritization and planning skills.
  • Be well organized.
  • Electrical background.

Additional Information:

  • Upon offer of employment, the individual will be subject to a background check and a drug screen.
  • Able to lift between 20 and 50 pounds to waist height
