Robert Half Credit Specialist (Tier II) in Rochester, New York

Description

We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for a Credit Specialist in Rochester, New York. This role is in the finance industry and involves mitigating credit risk exposure by reviewing incoming clients and providing advanced client service and technical product support.

Responsibilities:

• Review and approve or deny credit authorizations payments or termination decisions to mitigate potential risk

• Conduct credit reviews on new clients

• Review and interpret credit reports and financial trade and public record data to assist in the credit decision making process

• Identify and research potentially fraudulent clients and escalate all positive matches to a supervisor and the fraud investigations group

• Conduct daily reviews of incoming clients to determine potential matches to previous clients that have been terminated for non-payment of payroll or invoice amounts

• Remove clients from the services when required

• Diffuse difficult client concerns and notify management of critical situations

• Research and resolve product and service issues from the field and our clients and ensure the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions input into the product systems

• Participate in product-related projects or training sessions to ensure area of responsibility is represented

• Develop and maintain knowledge of all product offerings, regulatory changes, policy changes, and industry developments

Requirements • Proven experience in customer service and client relations

• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suites

• Experience with Payroll and Paychex Payroll systems

• Understanding of policy creation and implementation

• Ability to handle invoice and payment processing

• Aptitude for detailed research and research analysis

• Experience with financial transactions, credit, and credit risk management

• Ability to perform ad hoc financial tasks as required

• Familiarity with authorizations, terminations, and mitigation processes

• Strong time management skills

• Experience in conducting fraud investigations and interpreting credit reports

• Ability to communicate effectively with external partners

• Experience in conducting training sessions

• Knowledge of financial management principles

• Experience with bonus programs

• Problem resolution skills
