Salary Range: $58,000-$63,000 Exempt (Pay information will vary depending upon relevant experience for the position)

Full Time 40 hours Days Monday-Friday

GENERAL SCOPE: Under the guidance of the Clinical Nutrition Manager, is responsible for the operation and implementation of the Nutrition Care Program based on established objectives, standards, policies, and procedures, as well as local, state, and federal regulations. Assists in the maintenance of sound inter-departmental relations and the integrating of the dining service department with the facility plan of operations. Assists with the provision of nutrition care throughout the community.

EDUCATION / QUALIFICATION: Must have 4 year degree in Nutrition or related field and must have current credentials as RD or RDN.

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:.

• Manages a case load of long term care residents under the supervision of the CNS. This would include but would not be limited to monitoring resident weights, skin, meal intake and overall nutritional status on a minimum of a quarterly basis

• Assists in providing quality food and an enjoyable dining experience for residents, guests, and staff,

• Understands and applies all state and federal guidelines, assuring “inspection ready” status at all times.

• Assists with department’s excellent relations with clients, residents and close working relationships with dining service supervisors, employees and other departments.

• Responsible for the completion of dietary histories, resident care plans and pertinent charting in medical records including MDS within a timely manner.

• Provides nutrition information to individual residents, as designated. Participates in wellness activities as applicable in the community.

• Be a support and resource to Diet Technician and provide coverage to Clinical Nutrition Specialist as needed.

• All other job duties as assigned.

EXPERIENCE: One year experience in long term care or acute care setting preferred
