SUMMARY
As an Interventional Technologist, your attention to detail and assistance with radiology procedures ensures diagnostic quality and the maximum comfort and safety of patients undergoing procedures.

STATUS: Per Diem
LOCATION:
Rochester General Hospital
DEPARTMENT:
Radiology
SCHEDULE:
Flexible Scheduling, Monday-Friday and weekends as needed

ATTRIBUTES
  • 6 months as Radiologic Technologist preferred; Interventional Technologist experience preferred
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Patient Care. Provide on-call coverage for radiography in all assigned areas, including angiography, interventional and digital subtraction angiography; maintain accountability for timely and proper service to patients during unsupervised shifts and throughout the angiographic area; transport medications to procedure
  • Documentation. Properly document exams and related procedures utilizing the RIS/PACS and in-patient charts
  • General Maintenance. Clean, restock and prepare rooms on a daily basis
Desired Attributes:
• Six months as of Radiologic Technologist experience preferred.
• BLS Certification preferred.
• Interventional Experience preferred.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office products and ability to work various software applications.
• Exceptional customer service and communication skills

Minimum Qualifications:
• Graduation from accredited school of radiological technology or equivalent.

Required Licensure/Certification Skills:
• NYS license in Radiologic Technology OR must hold NYS permit and obtain licensure within six months of employment.
• American Registry of Radiologic Technologist Certification (ARRT-R) or obtain certification within three months of employment.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: M - Medium Work - Exerting 20 to 50 pounds of force occasionally, and/or 10 to 25 pounds of force frequently, and/or greater than negligible up to 10 pounds of force constantly to move objects; Requires frequent walking, standing or squatting.

  • RT(R) - Registered Radiologic Technologist - New York State Education Department (NYSED)
PAY RANGE: $32.00 - $43.00

The listed base pay range is a good faith representation of current potential base pay for successful applicants. It may be modified in the future. Pay is determined by factors including experience, relevant qualifications, specialty, internal equity, location, and contracts.
