Job Description:
- Highland Hospital is seeking a Nurse Manager for the Highland Procedure Center (HPC)/ Endoscopy Department. This is a Full-Time position working in a fast-paced Clinical Environment.
Highland Procedures Center:
Inpatient and outpatient GI and pulmonary with moderate sedation and anesthesia.
Assists in TEEs and cardioversions and provides transfusion services.
Position Summary : Provides professional nursing services, leadership of nursing staff, leadership for specialty processes or clinical specialties within the organization, and management of operational processes to serve patients and their families and/or serve the nursing department. Collaborates with other health care providers and health care team members to achieve expected patient and organization outcomes. Work efforts are focused on improvement of the care environment.
Nursing leaders, specialists, and managers use the nursing process, appropriate leadership and management theory and practices, and evidence based nursing practice to coordinate and provide direct care and services that support care.

The Nurse Manager maintains 24-hour-a-day accountability for all patients and nursing activities on assigned unit. The Nurse Manager oversees and directs unit activities, including standards development, implementation and management, human resource management, assessment and monitoring of resource needs and utilization, staff education and professional development, unit-based research and performance improvement, new program development and implementation, and communication within nursing practice and across disciplines and departments. The Nurse Manager represents the unit and service on committees at all levels within the institution. The Level V Nurse Manager may assume an expanded department role as available and assigned by the Director.
PAY RANGE: $102,602.14 - $135,567.28
*The referenced pay range represents the minimum and maximum compensation for this job. Individual annual salaries/hourly rates will be set within the job’s compensation range, and will be determined by considering factors including, but not limited to, market data, education, experience, qualifications, expertise of the individual, and internal equity considerations.

Job Requirements:
Education: Bachelor of Science in Nursing required, Master’s degree preferred
Experience (minimum) 5 to 8 years progressive nursing leadership experience
License/Certification Required: Current NYS license as a Registered Professional Nurse. American Heart Association BLS CPR Certification required.
Skills (to include equipment, software, etc.) word processing, financial spreadsheet applications, e-mail, internet and intranet use, patient care equipment on the unit.
