ADP Director Contracts in Roseland, New Jersey

ADP is hiring a Director Contracts.

The Director Contracts is responsible for development and management of a wide variety of complex third-party partners and major vendor relationships in support of strategic product/services, software and other initiatives. Directly and indirectly, negotiate, drafts, closes, and manages complex arrangements to secure the necessary relationships and technology for current and future needs. Advises and provides consultative support to senior/executive management regarding such areas as preserving ADP’s business flexibility, maximizing ADP’s leverage and benefit, negotiating strategic partner and vendor transactions. Staying abreast of business, technology and legal developments. Ensuring vendors are financially stable. Proactively responds to trends and developments to capitalize on opportunities and eliminate any adverse business impact.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Negotiates, closes and drafts a wide variety of complex agreements and transactions with ADP strategic business partners and major vendors to achieve technology and product/service initiatives, secure long-term relationships, realize ADP financial goals and minimize risk and exposure.

  • Managing a team of managers and negotiators and provide guidance and support to staff in contract negotiations and implementation.

  • Manages strategic business partner and major vendor relationships to ensure ADP achieves its strategic product/service, financial and operational initiatives. Interface with stakeholders to ensure contract requirements are met.

  • Develop and implement contract policies and procedures. Track and analyze contract data to identify trends and improve processes.

  • Ensure compliance with laws, regulations, and internal policies related to contracts. Collaborate with legal and finance teams to mitigate risks associated with contracts.

  • Advises and provides consultative support to senior/executive management on major business, legal, technology and financial issues of relationships or specific transactions.

  • Manages strategic business partner and major vendor relationships to ensure ADP achieves its strategic product/service, financial and operational initiatives.

  • Advises and provides consultative support to senior/executive management on major business, legal, technology and financial issues of relationships or specific transactions.

  • Manage the contract process as ADP acquires new companies.

QUALIFICATIONS REQUIRED:

  • Experience: 10+ years’ experience in a large corporate business and/or legal environment with specific emphasis on:

  • Managing contract processes and projects.

  • Strategic third-party relationships and subsequent transaction negotiating and closing.

  • Complex agreement drafting

  • Financial Analysis pertaining to contractual implications

  • Analysis and management of contractual risk and exposure

  • Acquisition Management

  • Bachelor’s Degree

  • Must possess a demonstrated working knowledge and application of contract business law with good business analysis skills and judgment.

  • International contracts experience required.

  • Demonstrate understanding of software and hardware and related technology necessary

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Graduate level education in Economic/Business Administration or related degree (or equivalent in education and experience) or advanced legal training a plus
