Job Description

LRS Consulting Services is seeking a local Senior .NET Developer for a long-term, work-from-home, contracting opportunity with our client in the west suburbs of Chicago, IL!

The Senior .NET Developer will:

• Design, build, test and maintain efficient, reusable, and reliable code. Ensuring the best possible performance, quality, and responsiveness of applications.

• Develop new and support existing APIs and integrations within a microservices environment utilizing a range of technologies including ASP.NET Core.

• Identify bottlenecks and bugs, and devise solutions to mitigate and address these issues.

• Help maintain code quality, organization, and automatization.

• Ensure that all applications well documented, thoroughly tested and debugged, and adhere to corporate and industry standards.

• Stay up-to-date on industry standards and incorporate them appropriately.

• Other duties as assigned.

Requirements:

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related field preferred.

• Minimum 5 years' experience programming full SDLC enterprise class code primarily in .NET (pref., .NET Core) & MS SQL technologies.

• Strong proficiency in C#.NET, ASP.NET, MS SQL Server, and preferably MVC design pattern.

• Expertise in using Object Relational Mappers (e.g., Dapper, Entity Framework, etc.) for use with MS SQL back-end development.

• Thorough experience in API and Web Services development.

• Good hands-on experience in Unit Testing

• Knowledgeable in Agile/Scrum methodologies, with experience using agile and version control tools such as Azure DevOps and Git Repositories strongly preferred.

• Azure experience is a plus

• Ability to effectively communicate and collaborate with non-technical parties both internal and external to the organization.

• Candidates must have permanent authorization to work in the USA for any employer.
