This person assists the Quality Control team with performing quality inspections and ensuring that the standard of quality is maintained in the finished product. The right candidate must be a problem-solver, have strong communication skills, and also be willing and ready to learn. Description: At Wells we design, produce, and erect precast buildings, and we are hiring patch and finishing laborers to join our team! This is a full-time opportunity with a growing company that offers great benefits. No prior manufacturing, construction experience is necessary, but a plus. Great opportunity to learn more responsibilities and grow a career. Starting wage is $25-$27 an hour starting at 2:00AM GENERAL DESCRIPTION: Performs various duties on a crew to assist in doing work on product to get the required finish and detail necessary for delivery to the jobsite. Doing necessary repairs or corrections that meet the Company's quality standards. ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS AND RESPONSIBILITIES Climbing up and down off the forms, pieces, trailer decks and work platforms. Carrying materials to perform the work needed on panels, product. Working with hand tools and power tools such as cut off saws, grinders, drills, etc. Knowledge/experience working with gas/acetylene torch. Operate Company Forklifts (Wells will train employees without Forklift experience). Experience working with concrete, pouring, leveling, and finishing off concrete. Operate Overhead crane-ways (Wells will train employees without experience). Be knowledgeable in proper rigging and handling of product. Have or be able to learn the skills of sandblasting and water-blasting finish work. EDUCATION, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED High School Diploma or GED. General math skills and ability to read tape measure and blueprint. Have adequate knowledge of the English language to be able to read pour sheets and set up directions and be able to communicate with other members of the crew. Be an authorized forklift operator or be capable of learning the skills of operating a forklift. Be experienced in operating overhead crane-ways (Wells Concrete will train employees without experience). PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS/ ADA ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS Physically able to lift up to 75 lbs, occasionally. Physically able to push, pull, lift, bend, climb, kneel, twist, squat, crawl and use hands/forearms repetitively and frequently. Ability to move around for up to 12 hours per day. Ability to work from ladders, scaffolding, swing stages and man lifts at various heights frequently. Possession of valid driver's license, and the ability to operate a motor vehicle. WORKING CONDITIONS Moderate to high risk of exposure to unusual elements. Moderate to high risk of safety precautions. Moderate to high exposure to production environment.
