Position Summary:
Employees will be responsible for effectively and efficiently diagnosing and repairing mechanical failures of company vehicles, including trucks, and related equipment. Responsible for performing preventive maintenance inspections as required.
Essential Functions (but not limited to):
Wears appropriate personal protective equipment when and where required.
Performs preventive maintenance or repairs on company assets according to the direction of supervisor.
Documents repair operations and time-tracking in accordance with company procedures.
Requisition of parts as necessary.
Performs failure analysis and reports findings to maintenance management.
Ensures work area is clean and neat.
Complies with company safety policies and with applicable state and federal regulations.
Conducts technical inspections and documents findings.
Maintains repair order documentation to include repair description, parts used and repair times.

Education/Experience Requirements
Minimum three years’ experience as Truck Mechanic or Diesel Engine Specialist
Minimum High school diploma or GED
Texas Class B Commercial Driver’s License is required
Experience in the trash disposal industry is a plus

Minimum Qualifications
Legally eligible to work in the United States.
Must be at least 21 years of age.
Must successfully complete pre-employment testing.
Must be able to read and speak the English language well enough to communicate, understand, and respond to questions, directions, traffic signs, signals and safety training.
Work Environment
In mechanic shop and/or outside in all weather conditions.
