Job Details:
SUMMARY: Trailer Supervisor will work across multiple areas of the shop overseeing day to day operations while ensuring team member safety and maintaining efficient workflow. Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Leading and developing TMs while meeting KPI\'s based around team strategy, throughput, safety, compliance, training for self as well as TMs, and driving proficiencies and efficiencies in their operation of control.
- Ability to Communicate effectively with drivers, PFM Supervisors, transportation operations and dealers to schedule maintenance of equipment.
- Ability to safely apply knowledge and trouble shooting skills to all assigned equipment.
- Must be able to instruct technicians in obtaining and interpreting instructions, manuals, and schematics.
- Must have good working knowledge of diagnostic equipment and shop tools.
- Effectively communicate workflow with technicians, and the ability to assign work to proper technicians to maintain efficiencies.
- Must be able to effectively communicate expectations with TMs.
- Ensures all TMs maintain a SAFE and clean work environment.
- Must have working knowledge of all equipment and communicate effectively with technicians on proper repair procedures.
- Proficiency in SAP / Cetaris maintenance systems. (Work order creation, reporting, scheduling, Etc.)
- Basic computer skills including email, internet, Excel, SAP, Cetaris, and telematics systems.
- Ability to grasp, grip, twist, pull, bend, and stoop for 12 hr. shifts.
- Ability to manipulate 200 lb. wheel / tire assemblies with mechanical assistance.
REQUIREMENTS:
Education: Requires education beyond high school including special training vocational school and or college courses.
Experience: Previous management experience a plus. Experience in transportation maintenance and/or diesel repair or industrial maintenance preferred.
- Valid driver\'s license
- Safety toe footwear
Computer Skills: Requires basic computer skills.
Communication Skills: Excellent verbal written and presentation skills.
Supervisory: This position is responsible for supervising a group of personnel in a single department or work unit who perform similar and or interrelated tasks and activities.
