Job Description

The Avionics Technician is responsible for performing the installations, inspections, and testing of avionics systems in corporate aircraft. This role involves inspecting, testing, troubleshooting, repairing, and replacing aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.

Responsibilities

• Perform installations, inspections, and testing of avionics systems in corporate aircraft.

• Inspect, test, troubleshoot, repair, and replace aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.

• Work to diagrams and schematics for installations and repairs.

• Handle communication systems, GPS, and instrumentation panels.

• Inspect components and aircraft systems as a Quality Inspector (QI).

Essential Skills

• 3+ years performing avionics work.

• 2+ years performing installations of avionics systems.

• Experience working to diagrams and schematics.

• Experience with communication systems, GPS, and instrumentation panels.

• Ability to troubleshoot, repair, test, remove, and replace complex avionics and instrument wiring and systems.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with removal and replacement of aircraft instrument and avionics components and systems.

• Experience on corporate jets is ideal but not required.

• Ability to have a flexible schedule to get the job done as needed (though this is a first shift job).

Work Environment

First shift, 7 AM to 4 PM. The work environment is laid back with a casual dress code. The facility is climate-controlled and clean. Our company specializes in performing maintenance, repair, overhaul, completion, and installation support for a variety of organizations.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Rye Brook, NY.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $35.00 - $45.00/hr.
