About the role
Our Electrical Automation Technicians form an integral part of our maintenance team in our Packaging Centre.
Install and commission electrical programming on our machines
Perform routine equipment preventive maintenance
Identify and rectify faults
Provide troubleshooting to resolve equipment performance issues
PLC based fault finding
Ensure work is carried out to highest quality and safety standards and in accordance with SWS / SOPs and other standards
About you
As an Electrical Automation Technician, you will be proactive, curious, and hard working. You understand emerging technologies and best practice.
You are a team player, who supports others and puts a focus on problem solving.
Electrical Trade Qualification & Electrical License (required)
Demonstrated working experience with robotics, co-botics, process controls and instrumentation
Experience in Packaging/Manufacturing environment, or previous experience working on highly complex machines
Experience with Allen Bradley PLC equipment, HMI’s, DeviceNet and variable speed drives, as well as JD Edwards
Excellent verbal communication skills
Computer, literacy, and numeracy skills
