We are offering a contract to hire employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Specialist in the Distribution industry, based in Saco, Maine. As an Accounts Payable Specialist, you will be tasked with performing essential accounting tasks, managing customer credit applications, and ensuring the accuracy of customer records. The role also involves monitoring customer accounts and taking the necessary actions when required.

Responsibilities:

• Ensure efficient and accurate processing of customer credit applications

• Oversee and manage customer credit records with precision

• Handle and resolve customer inquiries in a timely and detail oriented manner

• Monitor customer accounts regularly and take necessary action when needed

• Handle account coding tasks efficiently

• Utilize accounting software systems for various tasks

• Manage accounting functions and ensure they are carried out correctly and efficiently

• Oversee accounts payable tasks and ensure they are performed accurately

• Handle tasks related to Automated Clearing House (ACH) and ensure they are carried out correctly

• Implement and utilize AP automation software like Doc-Link for various tasks

Requirements • Familiarity with account coding processes and procedures

• Proficiency in using accounting software systems

• Demonstrable knowledge of general accounting functions

• Prior experience with Accounts Payable (AP) operations

• Understanding of Automated Clearing House (ACH) transactions.
