Job Title: Assembly Technician

Job Description

This role involves detailed work, assembling, inspecting, and trimming small silicon parts for the medical industry. You will start by receiving a cup of finished parts, sit in a chair, and work under a microscope in a very clean environment to remove excess silicone from tiny parts. This job requires an eye for detail and steady hands to handle very delicate pieces.

Responsibilities

• Remove excess silicone (flash) from very small micro parts using brushes, tweezers, or scraping tools, often under a microscope.

• Use a clicker press to trim flash from parts.

• Inspect parts for quality assurance.

• Work with a team to assemble the workstation.

• Fill out job sheets with part number, lot number, and quantity, requiring basic arithmetic skills.

Essential Skills

• Inspection and quality control experience.

• Final assembly and quality inspection skills.

• Experience with microscopes for detailed inspection.

• Ability to add and subtract accurately.

• 1-3 years of experience in detailed inspection work and handling tiny delicate pieces.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in part trimming and part inspection.

• Microscope inspection skills.

• Experience with plastic injection and silicone components.

Work Environment

You will train on the 1st shift for 3 months, Monday to Friday from 5am to 3:15pm. After training, you will move to the 2nd shift, Monday to Friday from 3pm to 1:15am. The job involves sitting at a desk in a clean room using tweezers and microscopes. This is a small-scale manufacturing company in Saginaw, Michigan, that produces small silicone components for the medical industry. The facility is incredibly clean due to medical regulations and has recently completed an expansion, with plans for further growth.

This is a Contract to Hire position based out of Saginaw, Michigan.
