The Sawmill Line Cook/Prep Cook in Saginaw, Michigan
The ideal candidate will be responsible for assisting in the preparation of delicious dishes in a fast-paced kitchen environment.
Responsibilities:
- Prepare ingredients for cooking, including portioning, chopping, and storing food
- Cook and assemble dishes as per restaurant recipes and specifications
- Assist in menu planning and development
- Ensure compliance with food safety and sanitation standards
- Collaborate with the kitchen team to maintain a clean and organized cooking station
- Monitor food supplies and communicate inventory needs to the Head Chef
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Line Cook, Prep Cook, or relevant role
- Knowledge of various cooking methods and techniques
- Familiarity with kitchen equipment and utensils.
- Understanding of food safety practices
- Ability to work well in a team environment
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
