IT Research Technician Minimum Salary: $17.51 per hour

IT Research Technician focuses on repair, preparation, value research, and data wiping of various IT equipment. This roleplays a crucial role in the secure, efficient, and profitable management of IT equipment, especially as its being prepared for resale. This position combines technical skills, market research, and knowledge of IT equipment. You will be a vital member of our remarketing team, helping put technology into the hands of consumers and keeping e-waste out of landfills.

Brief Summary of Duties:

• Quickly identify valuable IT equipment and prep for sale
• Research values of IT equipment
• Repair and part out IT type equipment (PCs, Notebooks, Printers, Servers, etc.)
• Ensure all customer data has been removed from IT equipment
• Travel for in/out of state special projects when needed - Optional
• Includes sitting, standing, bending, twisting and the ability to lift and/or move up to 25 pounds and occasionally lift and/or move up to 50 pounds with or without reasonable
• accommodation.
• Other tasks as assigned

Experienceand/or Education Requirements:

• High school diploma or GED
• Excellent written and verbal communications skills.
• Applicant must have typing skills and be able to perform constant data entry
• Applicant must be able to lift up to 50lbs routinely throughout the work day with or without a reasonable accommodation
• Resume must show a background working with computers
• Work history doing hardware repair
• Be creative when it comes to marketing and be able to quickly understand the value of IT type product

Experience and/or Education Preferred:

• A+ certification or IT type degree
• PC Tech Experience
• Previous employment in computer related job
• Familiar with selling on the Internet sales websites
