This is your opportunity to join our fast-paced team as the Marketing Manager to plan and activate successful marketing initiatives and campaigns for our award-winning Verdant brand.

Verdant is an industry leading premiere manufacturer of Energy Management Thermostats. Verdant offers simple-to-use wired and wireless thermostats which are plug and play, have accessories to handle any scenario and can be controlled, managed and monitored via the internet.

Reporting directly to the Manager, Marketing Business Partner, you will collaborate with our Creative and Digital Marketing team, Product and Sales teams, as well as other Copeland subject matter experts.

AS A MARKETING MANAGER , YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR :

Planning / Research

  • Participate in yearly planning with sales and product teams to align on key goals and objectives, which you will use to help build out an annual marketing plan to hit revenue goals.

  • Support the execution of annual research studies focused on learning new insights/trends with both current/potential customers.

Activation

  • Drive the strategy and execution of B2B integrated campaignsacross marketing channels that include traditional, digital, and PR.

  • Execute marketing campaigns for key hospitality partnerships.

  • Develop marketing briefs that are leveraged to initiate and guide projects with either internal marketing teams or agency partners.

  • Provide sales support, helping develop presentations, case studies and other sales materials.

  • Manage organic social channels through an agency partner, driving strategy and developing monthly content.

  • Leadcommunication plans focused on new product launches and new features across all channels.

  • Leverage project management tools to help track/keep projects on time.

Agency / Supplier Management

  • Work with agency partners that support Copeland in PR, social, creative, and video development.

Cross-Functional Team Management

  • Be a business liaison between Enterprise Marketing and the VerdantBusiness and advocate for the business’ priorities.

  • Operate in a matrixed organization by working with marketing leaders and peers as well as the business stakeholders, including the VP/GM, sales, product management, market management, and other core functional teams.

Reporting

  • Our marketing team drives outcome-based marketing, and this role will help drive reporting and dashboards to show success metrics across product categories and marketing functions - ensuring we are continually testing and adjusting to achieve short- and long-term objectives.

Brand Steward

  • Understand our portfolio of brands, their products, and their respective markets and customers and serve as the driving force behind product and customer messaging.

  • Track industry trends and share with the larger team.

REQUIRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS:

  • Bachelor’s degree required (Business/Marketing/English/Communications degree preferred)

  • 4-7 years of experience in brand/marketing management or a related position

  • Strong project management skills with the ability to set and meet deadlines for multiple projects simultaneously

  • Self-starter with the ability to quickly solve challenges/problems

  • Ability to manage and grow relationships with cross-functional teams

  • Strong verbal and written communications skills with expertise in Microsoft Word, Excel, and PowerPoint

  • Fluent in English, with excellent written and oral communication skills (this role primarily supports a U.S. based customers.)

  • Authorization to work in Canada without sponsorship

PREFERRED EDUCATION, EXPERIENCES & SKILLS

  • Master’s Degree in Business Management or Marketing

  • Experience either working with or at mid to large-sized marketing and/or digital agencies.

  • Experience with CRM (i.e., Salesforce) and project management tools (i.e., Trello, Basecamp, Monday.com)

  • Strong familiarity with B2B marketing and content strategies (owned, earned, paid)
